New Door Ventures offers numerous opportunities for youth to develop work and life skills:
Job-readiness classes and job search support for students at John O’Connell High School of Technology.
Monthly workshops on topics related to work- and life-readiness such as personal finance, nutrition, taxes, and legal issues for young people. Offered at New Door Youth Space in the Mission.
Nine-hour communication workshop offered three times per year at New Door Youth Space.
Spring Break Youth Leadership Program in which 10-15 students spend the five days of their Spring Break exploring leadership, education and careers and getting to know themselves and each other better.
Tutoring and academic support to students who are in need. In particular, to students who are not in school and are studying for their GED or high school equivalency exams.
