He is the Executive Director of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church and was formerly President of SRI Consulting and Managing Director of The Boston Consulting Group. Allen also serves on the boards of the Boy Scouts, Hawaiian Island Ministries, and several for-profit companies.
Ken Byk is Secretary of the board. He is a small business owner and former President/CEO of Forensic Analytical Specialties, Inc., a private company serving public health needs.
Ted Lucas is Treasurer of the board. He is a Partner at Lattice Capital Management LLC, a San Francisco-based investment firm. He was formerly Managing Director of MCP Chess Group LLC and remains on the Board of Chess Venture Partners, Ltd. Previously, he was Head of U.S. Strategy at Barclays and a Vice President at Lehman Brothers.
Alexa Cortes Culwell is the past Board Chair of New Door Ventures. She is CEO of The Stupski Foundation and was formerly CEO of the Charles and Helen Schwab Foundation for over a decade. Alexa also serves on the board of Northern California Grantmakers and the Center for Effective Philanthropy.
Colin Eakin, M.D. is an orthopedic surgeon and chairman of the Department of Sports Medicine at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation. He was formerly the team physician for the Stanford University Men's Basketball team.
Niquette Hunt is the Principal of the McLean Hunt Consulting Group, which provides early-stage healthcare and medical device companies with marketing and strategy insight from product development through launch. Niqui chairs New Door’s Enterprise Committee.
Elizabeth McCarty is a community volunteer with significant experience serving various nonprofits in the San Francisco community. She serves on the Development Committee.
Chuck Pappalardo is the Managing Director and Founder of Trilogy Venture Search, an executive recruitment firm. He was formerly a partner and managing director with Christian & Timbers in the Cleveland and San Francisco Bay Area offices.
Anne-Marie Peterson is an investment analyst at The Capital Group, an investment management firm. She was formerly with Thomas Weisel Partners and chairs New Door Ventures’ Development Committee.
Karen Skidmore is a corporate attorney at Franklin Templeton Investments and corporate secretary of the Franklin Funds. Prior to joining New Door’s board, she held a board role with the San Francisco Ballet and Menlo Park Presbyterian Church.
Sherilyn Stolz is a marketing and product management professional in the biotechnology field, working for firms such as Genentech. She chairs New Door’s Program Committee.
Tess Reynolds has been the CEO of New Door Ventures since 2003. She has over 20 years’ leadership experience in the consumer goods and technology industries. Tess has also served on the board of directors of Parents Helping Parents and Menlo Park Presbyterian Church, and has served on the advisory board of several other nonprofits.
